Hello my friends. I’ve not written in some time. I’ve been on a soul-searching journey recently and have realized I had gotten ahead of God in some areas of my life—running ahead without waiting to listen. I don’t know if you can relate but I’ve taken some time to be still in regard to writing.

When I consider this place. I long for it to be a place to find hope and encouragement from the Word of God (the Bible). As I’ve considered the few websites I frequent, I realize I go for truth and beauty.

With this in mind, I think I’d like this site to also a place of truth and beauty. I want it to be a balm for the soul for believers and unbelievers alike.

Lord willing, I will post each Sunday to begin our weeks. I’ll share beautiful images, short devotions, and inspiring music.

And to inaugurate this new direction, today’s focus will be from my reading from the gospel according to John.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1;1-5 (NIV)

In Jesus is life—and that life is the light for all people. This world if full of darkness. But the light of Jesus continues to shine through the darkness in the Word of God and through the Spirit in the people of God.

We all need light just now. Life-giving, hope-filled, light. If you have devoted your life to Jesus Christ, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16 (NIV)
