The righteous who walks in his integrity—blessed are his children after him! (Proverbs 20:7 ESV)
This verse strikes a chord in my heart, because my husband is a man of integrity. He works hard, serves us, and loves Jesus. There are a few verses in the Bible about godly wives being a good thing from the Lord (Proverbs 18:22 ESV), but truly a godly husband is a great blessing.
As I watch my children become independent adults, I see the fruit of my husband’s discipline and integrity. They love the Lord, work diligently, show compassion to others, and give of their time and resources generously. What more could parents desire.
Don’t misunderstand me. None of us is perfect. We’ve had our share of conflict and difficulties. But, beneath it all, there is a foundation of faith in Jesus Christ. So in all things, we can say, it is well with my soul.
It’s never too late to trust the Lord at his word and live our lives afresh with integrity – we can trust the rest to him.
God bless you. Nicole
