Day 7

Hebrews 7:24-27

…but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Such a high priest meets our need – one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. Like the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for Jesus Christ. Thank you for his sacrifice which saved us once for all. We are grateful we need no other priest, no other sacrifice – our sins were not simply covered, they were paid for in full by our Savior.  Make us like our wonderful Savior – blameless, pure, set apart. We look forward to the day we shall be like him and see him as he is.
