High School Homeschooling Tip of the Day (Oct 25th)

My mother taught me to enjoy life. Even today she is the leading activist in my life that encourages play. At 76 years of age she would still rather go swimming, bike riding, play tennis, or ride the ferris wheel, than cook or clean house. We might not have had the most traditional of homes growing up, but she knew how to live life to the fullest and to enjoy the time we had together.

I am not so much like my mother, but one thing I hope I passed on to my children was the ability to enjoy life and to play. We’ve shared so many wonderfully adventurous and fun times together. I hold all of those memories amongst my most cherished.

So my tip of the day today, is play with your children! Enjoy the days together and don’t make everything about chores, discipline and school. Get out the Life game, play spoons, have a dance night and turn the music up really loud, or have a sack race. 🙂

Our children are a wonderful gift from God. Celebrate your time together with them while they are still at home. Time goes by so quickly.

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Nicole
