For the ways of a man are before the eyes of the Lord, and He watches all his paths. (Proverbs 5:21 NASB)

God is not limited to a location by a physical body. Throughout the Bible there are verses which tell us God sees us, knows us, and nothing is hidden from him. (Psalm 139:7-12, Proverbs 15:3, Jeremiah 23:23-24, Job 34:21, Matthew 6:6, etc.) The New Testament goes even further and states the Spirit of God dwells within us! (I Corinthians 2:12, I Corinthians 3:16 NASB)

The fact that all of our ways are before the eyes of the Lord should truly sober us – but we are forgetters. Thankfully, we are also partakers of the grace of God, and can confess and receive forgiveness. (I John 1:9)

So, in this new year, I’m going to take this verse and Psalm 101: 2b-3a to heart, which says:

I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart. ³ I will set no worthless thing before my eyes…(NASB)
